Hot pepper cake-omelet. This is one of those dishes which I worked out completely in my mind before attempting it. Very rare. Diced the soy burger first. Shook 2 eggs, 1 tbsp white flour, and 1 tsp of the top of a red pepper sauce (not the seeds) in a covered glass jar. Heated the pan (not non-stick) with olive oil until smoking hot, reduced flame and poured in the egg. Dropped on the burger bits and shook cayenne pepper powder over the top. Covered until cooked. Delicious. On the hot pepper sauce and powder, use your own judgment, but be prepared for too much. In any case, very healthy for you. Can’t hurt you.

 

RED PEPPER HOT (what to do)

There are many suggestions for what is best when your mouth is too hot. Bread, milk, cottage cheese, salt. The salt is an interesting one. First Breakfast After Baking An Apple Pan-Cake (previous post)

I just may finish a whole apple in 3-4 days. Apple Pan-Cake with Two Eggs covered in thyme and sesame seeds (za’atar) and Lassi. The walnuts are for Omega-3. First off, while you really can’t see it, the re-heated apple pan-cake is covered with lassi, a traditional Indian drink made with yogurt, water, spices and fruit. Extremely good combination. I bought it already prepared at the local grocery but you can make it yourself – All about how to make different types of Lassi with great photos.  That apple pan-cake was the best thing I have done in a long time. Goes great with a lot of things. Actually, when I finally cut it up, it came out to nine pieces. I never could do things evenly.

DARK Potato Salad

Somebody once said (maybe me just now), “When in battle, all sides are fronts, and the front you leave open will do you in”.

I was starting to feel that I was becoming sick. So, I wanted to get some of the spices against microbes and fungus inside together with garlic and cayenne pepper to fight it off. What to do? The first thing which came into my mind was  potato salad. I’m not kidding.  But first, I drank a glass of water. This is very important since many times there is just not enough water in the system.  After the water intake, I boiled a potato (make it faster by chunking it), added 5-6 cloves of garlic sliced (cancel all dates), added cauliflower cut into small chunks, and an egg hard boiled with everything else (wash the shell first).

Important:  Everything else can be undercooked or overcooked but the potato must not be overcooked – otherwise mashed potato.  Ran cold water over it until no longer hot, sliced the egg, and added: Mayonnaise, lots of za’atar (or thyme and sesame seeds), coriander, basil, cumin, tumeric, small amount of cayenne (red hot pepper) mix or sauce or powder, salt to taste, and pepper.  Remember: If the potato salad looks nice and white, it may taste good but it’s not going to cure you of much of anything except hunger.

 Enjoyed with a glass of good red wine.  Now I’ll let my body do its thing and sort it all out. Enjoying the dish was certainly part of the cure. About 15 minutes after the meal, drank another glass of water with 3 tablets of vitamin C. And very important: Got some sunshine for the vitamin D.  Remember my saying at the top.
